GOMBAK: The Selangor police raided a business district largely owned by the GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB) network in Bandar Country Homes in Rawang, early this morning.
The raid took place at 6.30am, involving 50 officers and 200 personnel from the Selangor Police and the Federal Reserve Unit, with assistance from the Selangor Islamic Religious Department and the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS).
Among the businesses inspected were restaurants, a car workshop, a second-hand clothing store, printing services, a supermarket, a bakery, a media service centre, a hotel, a boutique, a gallery, and various other businesses, all operating under the GISB name.
At 8.30am, the police were seen conducting checks on individuals, including some children, at the same location.
The MPS also demolished some illegally constructed structures belonging to GISB, and sealed several business premises.
Almost the entire business centre on Jalan Desa was closed off.
