Father and three sons, believed to be GISB members, brought to court for remand

KOTA BARU: A father and his three sons were brought to the Kota Baru court today for a remand order to assist in the police investigation into Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB).

Heavily escorted by the police, the three arrived at the court compound around 8.45am in a van. They were later taken to the lock-up before heading to the court room.

It was learned that the three had just arrived from Johor Baru and are believed to be members of GISB, detained on Saturday.

Yesterday, police found various books related to the banned Aurad Muhammadiah and Al-Arqam during a raid on premises linked to GISB in Gong Kulim, Pasir Puteh.

The two-hour raid on the premises, which housed a charity home and a school, began at 9am and involved 50 personnel from the state police, the State Islamic Affairs and Religious Department, and the State Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council.

Reports indicate that police had to break down locked doors to conduct an inspection and seize various hidden books from a storeroom.

It is also understood that the premises, including the charity home, were previously occupied by more than 60 residents but have since been vacated following a police raid in Panji, Kota Baru, last Saturday.

On Saturday, police raided a house where the GISB chief executive officer stayed in Kelantan.

The house near Kampung Panji was among three raided by the police, the Welfare Department, and the Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department.

It is understood that 30 people, including 20 children, lived in the three homes, including the second wife of the CEO, who was present during the raid.
