KOTA BARU: Police today obtained a three-day remand order against a father and his three sons who are believed to be members of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB) for an investigation into possession of books banned by the authorities.
The remand order which ends on Sept 27, was obtained at the magistrate's court here this morning.
Magistrate Ahmad Syafiq Aizat Nazri granted the remand order under Section 117 of Criminal Procedure Code.
It is believed that the four, aged between 15 to 46, would be charged under Section 8 (2) of Printing Presses and Publication Act 1984.
Earlier, the four arrived at the court for remand order about 8.45am.
The four had just arrived from Johor Baru and were immediately brought to the court.
It is learnt that the four were arrested during an operation in Panji, here, on Saturday where police raided a house where the GISB chief executive officer stayed in Kelantan.
The house near Kampung Panji was among three raided by the police, Welfare Department and Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department this morning.
It is understood that 30 people, including 20 children and the second wife of the CEO, lived in the three homes.
