KOTA BARU: All 19 business premises linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) operating here have ceased operation following police crackdown on the entity last week.
Kota Baru Municipal Council Islamic City president Mohd Anis Hussein said these premises included those operating in Jalan Long Yunus.
"I was informed by my officers that all 19 business premises have closed following the ongoing crackdown by authorities.
"These premises were granted licences to operate between 2010 and 2023.
"The licences were valid for one year. So far, the council did not receive any applications to renew the licences," Anis said.
He added that these business premises included restaurants, bakery, tailor and laundry shops as well as training and treatment centres.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain last week had said that 15 business premises linked to GISB in the state have ceased operations.
Razarudin had also said the police would continue to monitor closely all premises belonging to GISB in Kelantan.
He added that he had directed the state police to monitor the premises closely.
