15 nabbed for alleged online prostitution services

KUALA LUMPUR: City police have uncovered a syndicate offering sex services which can be booked online.

Raids at four hotels and residences following the discovery saw 11 foreign women, believed to be sex workers, arrested along with four Malaysian men who acted as "transporters" for them.

The women arrested in the raids conducted by Kuala Lumpur police Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies Division (D7) were aged between 21 and 47.

Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohd Razali Mohd Idrus said the syndicate used a website with the URL www.klescsort69.com.

"The raid, conducted under Op Noda, targeted prostitution activities facilitated through online bookings, allowing customers to select their preferred sex worker via the website.

"Various choices of women were offered on the website, mostly from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam," he said in a statement.

Razali added that the fees for the services were set based on the amount of time the service was required.

For an hour's service, the charge was RM400. This was followed by a charge of RM750 for four hours; RM1,100 (seven hours) and RM1,700 (11 hours).

"Once booked, the sex worker would be sent by a 'transporter' to a location chosen by the customer, usually a hotel in the capital city. They could also be booked for customers hosting a 'private party'," said Razali.

He said, during the raid, the authorities also seized three cars, 16 mobile phones, 45 condoms, seven bottles of lubricant, and RM1,351 in cash.

Further investigations are being conducted under Section 372B and Section 372(1) of the Penal Code, in addition to Section 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963, as well as Section 6(1)(c) and Section 55B of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
