TEMERLOH: An ambulance belonging to the Health Ministry overturned at KM115.2 of the Karak Highway today after attempting to avoid a motorcyclist who lost control of his machine.
In the 12.15pm incident, the rider, who was part of a convoy, skidded, causing the ambulance to veer into the opposite lane and land on its side.
A ministry staff, who wished to remain anonymous, said the ambulance was ferrying two nurses, a driver, and a medical assistant.
He said the group was returning from Selayang Hospital after sending a patient there.
Upon reaching the location, the motorcyclist lost control and skidded, he said.
"The driver tried to swerve, but the ambulance overturned, leaving some of us with minor injuries.
"Thankfully, there was no patient in the ambulance.
"Alhamdulillah, we are all safe," he said.
