GEORGE TOWN: Police are probing a claim by a woman that she was made a prostitute to pay off her father's debt to an Ah Long.
Pulau Pinang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad today said they were tracking down the woman.
He said this at the northeast district police headquarters here.
The woman, 26, who said she was in Penang, had contacted a podcast handler during a live TikTok session,
She claimed her father had owed a loan shark RM20,000 before she was forced to become in prostitute in February to pay off the debt.
The woman claimed her father had used her mother and other family members' details as guarantor.
She had reached out to the podcast handler for help to rescue her.
