TikTokker Choii fined RM3,000 for drifting on highway

BALIK PULAU: A TikTok user has been fined RM3,000 after pleading guilty in magistrate's court to reckless driving on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway last week.

Muhammad Faris Azri Md Hanif, better known as Choi, pleaded guilty to the offence in front of Magistrate Chia Huey Ting.

The 25-year-old faces one month in jail should he fail to pay the fine for the offence under Section 279 of the Penal Code.

Faris had been arrested after he was caught drifting on the highway at 3.45am on Sept 28.

Deputy Public Prosecutor R Lushani prosecuted while Faris was represented by the National Legal Aid Foundation.
