KUALA LUMPUR: A senior police officer was arrested after he was found to be living with a woman he had no legal ties with.
The officer, based in Perak, was arrested by a team from the federal police's Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) at a home in Cheras at 1.40am yesterday.
When contacted, JIPS director Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad confirmed the officer's arrest and said investigations were ongoing.
"I can confirm the officer was detained with a woman he had no legal ties with."
Azri said the officer was arrested after they received information that the man was living with the woman.
