GEORGE TOWN: A man who was caught on video driving recklessly here has been arrested, say police.
Northeast district acting police chief Superintendent Lee Swee Sake said they came across the viral video on social media yesterday.
He said the incident happened in Jalan Datuk Keramat and Lebuh Chulia, here, on Sept 12.
"The driver, a 39-year-old man from Ayer Itam, has been arrested.
"He is also being investigated for breaking a window of a vehicle with his hand," Lee said in a statement today.
The man has been remanded in custody until tomorrow.
Lee also said a drug test revealed traces of methamphetamine and amphetamine.
The driver has a criminal record for drug offences, he added.
