Bukit Aman warns Gumball 3000 drivers after reckless driving videos [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has warned all road users, including foreign drivers, to comply with Malaysian traffic laws or face consequences.

This comes after several viral videos showed exotic hypercars with foreign plates driving dangerously and violating traffic rules.

Federal Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan confirmed these cars were part of the Gumball 3000 rally, which started in Cambodia.

"Based on the videos, we identified multiple offences, including reckless driving and misuse of emergency lanes," he said on Tuesday.

No official reports have been lodged yet, but authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.

"Drivers, regardless of nationality, must follow our traffic laws. Offenders will face action," Yusri said.

The Gumball 3000 rally, celebrating its 25th anniversary, featured over 100 high-end cars driven by celebrities and influencers.

Videos show participants speeding, burning rubber, and using emergency lanes. One even claimed a policeman asked them for a "gift."

The convoy was met by cheering fans during one stop in Malaysia.
