SERI ISKANDAR: Police have arrested four private university students for allegedly possessing various drugs here yesterday.
Acting Perak police chief Deputy Commissioner Zulkafli Sariaat said the students, comprising two males and two females aged between 20 and 22, were arrested at a double-storey terrace house here at 1.40pm.
"During the raid, police found a transparent plastic package containing a compressed material suspected to be cannabis weighing 865g; a compressed orange-coloured block wrapped in transparent plastic, suspected to contain cannabis weighing 1.04kg; and two transparent plastic packets containing material suspected to be cannabis, weighing 18g.
"The total estimated value of the drugs is RM2,500. Police also seized RM400, a Mercedes-Benz C200, and a necklace during the raid," he said in a statement today.
He added that the drugs were intended for personal use and local distribution.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
