Datuk Vida to challenge court order on seized residence, vehicles

KUALA LUMPUR: Cosmetics entrepreneur Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, better known as Datuk Vida, will challenge the High Court's seizure order for her residence and four vehicles.

Hasmiza's appointed lawyer, Datuk Adnan Seman, confirmed that he has received instructions from the entrepreneur to contest the claim.

"I have just received the letter of attorney and documents related to the case.

"The directive from my client (Hasmiza) is to challenge the claim," he told Harian Metro today.

Adnan said there are only 13 days left to challenge the claim, as the auction for the seized assets is scheduled for Dec 9.

Adnan said the four seized vehicles still remain at Hasmiza's residence.

Yesterday, Hasmiza's residence in Ipoh, Perak, along with four vehicles, was seized after she failed to settle debts exceeding RM1 million.
