Police investigating viral video of stone-throwing incident in Petaling Jaya

PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating a viral video circulating on social media showing an individual throwing a stone at a vehicle in the district.

Deputy Police Chief Superintendent M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said the incident occurred at Jalan Sungai Buloh - Kepong, near the MRT Sri Damansara Station, Bandar Sri Damansara, at approximately 2.30pm on Monday.

"To date, no police reports have been lodged by any parties, and efforts to locate the individual involved are ongoing," he said.

The malicious act, categorised as vandalism, could result in punishment under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which carries penalties of up to two years' imprisonment, a fine, or both upon conviction.

The police urged the public to avoid actions that could "endanger lives, damage property, or jeopardise the safety of others.

Witnesses with information are encouraged to assist the investigation by reporting to the nearest police station or contacting Petaling Jaya IPD at 03-79662222.
