GOF: Two caught with guns, bullets may be involved in firearm-related crimes

PASIR MAS: The two men caught for allegedly possessing a rifle, a pump gun and 124 live bullets are believed to be involved in firearm-related crimes.

General Operations Force Southeast Brigade commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abd Hamid said the two suspects have records of firearms cases since 2019.

"During the raid on Dec 23, the two men told GOF personnel that the rifle and pump gun were for hunting.

"Investigations showed that the two, besides being involved in drug activities, are also linked to firearm-related crimes."

Ros Azhan said further investigations into the case are being carried out by Pasir Mas police.

On Dec 23, the GOF arrested two men, aged 19 and 34, on suspicion of possessing firearms and drugs in Kampung Degong.

The arrests were made during a raid on a hut in the village.

After inspecting the hut, they discovered a rifle, a pump gun, 124 live bullets, 76g of ganja, 27 Yaba pills, 6.2g of syabu and two mobile phones.
