RANTAU PANJANG: A man was arrested Sunday for possessing two imitation pistols, airsoft bullets, and drugs during an operation here.
The suspect was riding a motorcycle when he was detained by General Operations Force (GOF) personnel at 1.30pm.
GOF Southeast Brigade commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid said GOF personnel were conducting routine survelliance when they spotted the suspect in the town area.
"Upon inspecting the man, they found an imitation Glock-style pistol. The authorities also seized airsoft bullets, an army patch, and a T-shirt," he said in a statement today.
A follow-up raid at a house in Kampung Kok Batu uncovered another imitation pistol, along with 241 Epam and methamphetamine pills, valued at approximately RM7,000.
In a separate operation, GOF personnel also arrested four Myanmar nationals on Sunday for entering the state illegally. Two other Myanmar nationals were detained for harboring them.The six individuals were apprehended during a raid at a house in Kampung Barol Pial around 6 p.m. All were taken to the Pasir Mas police station for further investigation.
