KUALA LUMPUR: Primary school students will return to classes in two groups, starting as early as March 1, said Senior Minister (Education) Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin.
According to Radzi, pre-schoolers, along with Standard 1 and Standard 2 students, will be the first group to return to school on March 1; while Standard 3 to 6 students will resume in-person classes on March 8.
"Pre-schoolers, Standard 1 and 2 students will return to schools earlier, so that they can get used to the (Covid-19) standard operating procedures (SOP)," he said during a live telecast today.
Secondary school students, according to Radzi, will return in April after the end of this year's mid-term break.
He said secondary school students are also divided into two groups, with Group A consisting of students from Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah; while students from the remaining states will be in Group B.
"Group A will start school on April 4, while Group B will start on April 5," he said.
