PUTRAJAYA: An officer from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC), who was reported missing on July 19, was found safe at premises near his rented house at Precint 9 here yesterday.
Putrajaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said Mohd Azmeer Sardi, 36, was found by the police at premises near the Putra Harmoni apartment complex at 9.30pm.
"Several AGC officials were present at the location where Azmeer was found. He was taken to the Putrajaya police headquarters to be handed over to his family.
"We also took him to the Putrajaya Hospital for a check-up and he is in stable condition.
"Therefore, the case has been (solved)," Rosly said when contacted today.
It was reported that Azmeer, who works in the AGC's Law Revision and Reform Division, went missing after he was discharged from the Putrajaya Hospital after receiving treatment following a minor accident.
A missing persons report was filed by Azmeer's colleague after he failed to show up for work for five days.
According to the police report, Azmeer's wife, who lives in Shah Alam, said the last time she saw him was on the first day of Hari Raya.
She also claimed that Azmeer is suffering from depression.
