KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced an allocation of RM280.25 billion when tabling the 2018 Budget in Dewan Rakyat Friday.
He said this is an increase as compared to the RM260.8 billion allocated in Budget 2017.
The government estimates that the country would be able to collect a total of RM239.86 billion national revenue.
In Budget 2017, RM214.8 billion was allocated for operating expenditure and RM46 billion for development expenditure, RM77.4 billion is for emoluments, and RM32 billion for supplies and services.
