Raja Muda Selangor joins thousands in Klang Third Bridge Run

KLANG: Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah joined 5,000 runners in the Klang Third Bridge Run 2017 here on Sunday.

Tengku Amir, who took part in the 5km 'Family Fun Run' category, was the star attraction of the event, with many members of the public approaching him to say ‘hello’ or take selfies.

Arriving for the run at 7.15am, Tengku Amir also flagged-off the men’s and women's open 10km cycling races at the event, which also featured a 10km run for men and women above 40 years of age.

The third edition of the run on Sunday was held as part of birthday celebrations for the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The bridge, which was opened on Nov 19, was named after the Sultan’s first son, Raja Muda Nala. — BERNAMA
