KUALA LUMPUR: Visitors can expect a great time at Gegaria Fest, a lifestyle and entertainment festival by Media Prima Bhd (MPB) which will take place on Jan 13 at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam.
Food truck operators will populate the Gegaria Makan-Makan zone, offering various types of dishes from traditional ones to fast food. Visitors will also have the chance to learn new recipes from Chef Fikree Aznan and Chef Naem from the television show, Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan.
Meanwhile, the Gegaria Throwback Tunnel is a showcase of the nation’s progress, taking visitors for a walk down memory with artistic displays of the country’s milestones.
The Gegaria Lifestyle zone on the other hand will serve up educational and business talks by young entrepreneurs, social media stars and the six finalists of Anugerah Juara Lagu 32. Among the celebs and stars who will make their appearance are Mafarikha, Jessica Ong, Nabila Razali, De Fam, Elfira Loy, Pa’din Musa, and Noh Salleh.
Entertainment will not be in short supply at the Gegaria Entertainment zone, which will start off at 8.00am with a Zumba session and continue throughout the day with activities such as Giant Jenga, Sepak Takraw, Hopskotch and Shrinky Dinks. Electronic gamers are not left out with various games such as FIFA Online 3, Arena of Valor and League of Legends available for play.
MPB has also lined up a string of activities to serve the community at the Gegaria Community zone, which include a blood donation drive, health check-ups and voter registration counter by the Election Commission of Malaysia.
Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam is Gegaria’s first stop. The festival will move on to Johor Baru on February 3 and Kuantan on February 24.
