Media Prima wins best TV coverage in Shah Alam council awards

SHAH ALAM: Media practitioners were recognised and celebrated for their contributions at Shah Alam City Council's (MBSA) media appreciation dinner.

MBSA hosted the event to express gratitude for the tireless efforts of journalists, broadcasters and media professionals who play a pivotal role in shaping public discourse and disseminating information.

Mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the media plays a vital role in shaping public perception and supporting the city's development.

"The media plays a crucial role in disseminating information about urban development, municipal services, and community programmes. Your efforts help educate and influence society, shaping the direction of our city.

"Thank you to the media who have tirelessly collaborated with MBSA, even during difficult times like floods, landslides, to provide the public with accurate and timely information," he said in his speech.

Also present were Media Prima deputy group managing editor Farrah Naz Karim and Media Prima Television Network News and Current Affairs group editor Azhari Muhidin.

The event also saw Media Prima Television Network News taking home the Best Television Coverage Award through its Aduan Rakyat programme.

The Media Prima News and Current Affairs Division also brought home certificates of appreciation and commemorative plaques from MBSA.
