KUALA LUMPUR: An American businessman and his wife have admitted to having a threesome with Ivana Esther Robert Smit hours before she fell to her death from a condominium on Dec 7 last year.
In an exclusive interview with British tabloid Daily Mail, Alex Johnson, 44, and his wife Kazakh wife Luna, 31, said they first had sex with Smit three weeks before her death.
They, however, claimed that Smit's death was an "accident" and that she was not murdered.
The couple also admitted that the three of them had been drinking heavily the night before Smit's death and that latter had been taking drugs.
Describing their relationship with Smit as "close", the Johnsons said they were introduced to the model last year by a mutual acquaintance at a club in Kuala Lumpur.
"She asked me to stand up and dance with her. We weren’t kissing, but we were doing sexy moves," Luna was quoted as saying.
The Daily Mail said on the night before Smit's death, the trio went to two nightclubs before heading to Johnson's condominium in Dang Wangi here.
Luna was quoted as saying that she woke up at 1.25pm on Dec 7 and discovered that Ivana had "vanished".
"I thought maybe she had borrowed some of my clothes and gone to a photo shoot she’d mentioned."
It was reported that Smit was found dead and naked at the balcony of a sixth-floor unit in the condominium.
Police had said initial investigations found that there were no criminal elements in the case. The case was classified as sudden death.
Her father, however, expressed doubts that her death was an accident, claiming Smit had bruise marks on her neck.
