PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad began working from the Prime Minister's Office in Perdana Putra here today.
Since Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election on May 9, Dr Mahathir had been operating from his office at the Perdana Leadership Foundation here.
The prime minister arrived at the Perdana Putra lobby at 8.25am and was welcomed by Prime Minister's Department senior deputy secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali.
Dr Mahathir proceeded to the fifth floor where his office is located and was greeted by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.
Prayers were recited before the prime minister entered his office, where he signed his commencement of duty letter.
Dr Mahathir returned to the Prime Minister's Office after being away for 15 years. Malaysia’s 4th and now 7th prime minister last clocked out from the office on Oct 31, 2003. –- BERNAMA
