PORT DICKSON: A quarrel over her former boyfriend's habit of smoking electronic cigarettes or vape was believed to have led to Nur Alya Damia Hairi being strangled to death.
According to a source, the 19-year-old victim and the suspect, were believed to have separated several weeks ago.
They however decided to meet up on Friday night to talk about their relationship.
"After they started arguing in the car, the victim allegedly threatened the suspect that she will tell his parents about their relationship, as well as his vaping habit, which the parents did not know about.
"The suspect then became angry and lost control and began strangling the victim. He then realised that the victim was bleeding from her nose and had become unconscious.
"The suspect was believed to have panicked before pushing the victim out of the car. He then fled the scene and headed to his rented house nearby,” the source told NSTP here, today.
