PORT DICKSON: Former Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur for a routine check-up and is reported to be in stable condition.
His wife, Puan Seri Bibi Sharliza Mohd Khalid, said Isa has to undergo a routine check-up once every five years.
“Alhamdulillah (Thanks be to God), my husband does not have any problems. It’s just a normal check-up. He’s in good condition and all medical test results show that he’s healthy.
“He will be allowed to be discharged from IJN and return home in a day or two. Many have contacted me asking about my husband’s condition – don’t worry, he is doing well,” she said when contacted by NSTP here, today.
Isa, 69, was admitted to IJN on Sunday.
A picture of Isa receiving medical treatment went viral via WhatsApp yesterday, raising questions about his health.
Isa, who is former Teluk Kemang Umno division chief and Jempol member of parliament, had also contested in the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election last month.
