Pahang MB recuperating after successful surgery at IJN

KUANTAN: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has successfully undergone a surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) today.

His political secretary, Mohd Farid Mohd Nor, said the surgery went as planned and Wan Rosdy is now under observation at the intensive care unit.

"Thanks to the prayers, solat hajat (prayer of need) and Yasin recital from all well-wishers, Datuk Seri's (Wan Rosdy) operation at IJN went on as planned and has been completed.

"The menteri besar (Wan Rosdy) has been placed under 24-hour observation by the medical team at IJN's intensive care unit.

"Wan Rosdy's family offers its sincerest thanks to the medical team at IJN and everyone who prayed that everything will be eased during the treatment," he said on Facebook.

Wan Rosdy also expressed his highest appreciation to Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah.

Yesterday, State Secretary Datuk Seri Zulkifli Yaacob, in a statement, said Wan Rosdy will be admitted to IJN today until a date decided by the doctor.

Senior state executive council member Datuk Seri Mohd Soffi Abd Razak had urged people not to speculate about Wan Rosdy's health and pray for his speedy recovery.
