KUALA LUMPUR : The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah officially launched the Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur tonight, marking the international luxury hospitality company’s second property in Malaysia after the one in Langkawi.
The Kuala Lumpur hotel conducted its soft opening more than four months ago.
Located next door to Petronas’ Twin Towers, the 65-storey hotel boasts 209 rooms, which include 198 guest rooms and 11 suites, 242 private residences, 27 serviced apartments, six restaurants and a spa.
Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur general manager Tom Roelens said the hotel is the second tallest building in Kuala Lumpur and it highlights the company’s efforts in providing a luxurious living experience in Malaysia’s federal capital.
“Together with the team at Four Seasons, we worked to give a global luxury brand in Kuala Lumpur that truly embodies the culture and warmth of the people here.
“The Four Seasons is known worldwide with the best service and amenities, but what truly defines us is the people. That sets us apart from the others.
“This phenomenal hotel could not be possible without our partnership with the owners Venus Assets and the support of the guests,” said Roelens.
Venus Assets Sdn Bhd executive director Datuk David Ban said 70 per cent of the residential units have been sold.
“Four Seasons Places is an integrated luxury development offering upscale living for its residents and guests.
“As the second tallest building in Kuala Lumpur, and probably being the tallest residential building in the city, it complements the Petronas Twin Towers while bringing new heights in hospitality.
“We have reinforced Kuala Lumpur as one of the emerging global cities,” he said.
Also present at the event were Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shaari.
