GEORGE TOWN: Four Myanmar workers are feared buried when a landslide hit a holiday resort in Tanjung Bungah here this evening.
In the 9.15pm incident, the workers were digging a drain, measuring about 4.5-metre deep.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said suddenly, the earth caved in.
“A witness told us there were four victims feared buried alive,” he said tonight.
It was not immediately known the condition of the victims.
The spokesman said the search and rescue mission has been divided into two sectors.
“We are also using excavators to help in the search.” he added.
