PASIR PUTEH: Ten students at a tahfiz school here were arrested on Thursday for allegedly bullying a 14-year-old pupil into doing their homework.
The boy refused to obey their command, and was subsequently assaulted by the group. It is understood that he fought back against his bullies.
A 30-second video of the 10.30am incident has gone viral on social media.
Immediately following the assault, the boy lodged a report at the Pasir Puteh police headquarters.
According to Kelantan deputy police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Abdullah Muhammad Piah, 10 boys were arrested at 11am and had their statements recorded as part of an investigation under Section 147 of the Penal Code.
They were released on police bail.
The victim’s father said that it was the second time his son had been bullied at the school.
He said the first incident occurred earlier this year, but that he had not lodged a police report about it, as the matter was amicably settled at the school
“I did not think it would happen again,” he said.
