Zoo Negara receiving steady flow of visitors

KUALA LUMPUR: Zoo Negara has received about 3,300 visitors since its reopening on June 10 after being closed for nearly three months following the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) on March 18 to curb the Covid-19 spread.

Zoo Negara Malaysia deputy president Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana said since last week the crowd size had steadily returned to the normal number of people.

"Since the zoo opened on June 10, we are getting a strong number of visitors. And just today we have received about 300 visitors while yesterday was 400 visitors.

"In accordance to the government's guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs), we are also also adhering to the social distancing practice during operation hours," he said when contacted.

He added Zoo Negara was also offering complimentary unlimited entry passes for the first 100 paid visitors for the period June 13 to 21.
