KUALA LUMPUR: Water supply has been restored at 46 of the 274 areas as at 6am today following the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants two days ago.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications head Elina Baseri said 228 areas in the Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Sepang and Putrajaya districts are currently in the recovery stage.
"Air Selangor is in the midst of stabilising the distribution system to restore water supply to areas that are still affected.
"The recovery percentage of the districts are Petaling at 37 per cent, Kuala Langat at 55 per cent while Hulu Langat, Sepang and Putrajaya are still at zero per cent respectively," she said.
Elina also advised consumers against storing and using water excessively to ensure the water supply restoration process at the affected areas could proceed smoothly and in accordance with Air Selangor's schedule.
Areas where the water supply has been restored are Puchong Gateway, Taman Jinma, Serdang Perdana SP 1-5, Serdang Lama, Taman Kembangsari, Pekan Seri Kembangan, Pasar Borong Selangor, KTM Serdang, Bandar Puchong Utama 1 and 2, Taman Wawasan, Taman Perindustrian Puchong 1-6, Jalan Bandar 3-20, Taman Sri Puchong, Jalan Merbah, Jalan Tempua and Serindit, Kampung Sri Aman, Kampung Sri Langkas and Kampung Bersatu Puchong.
It includes Taman Puchong Intan, Kampung Kenangan Puchong, Puchong Utama 1-12, Bandar Bukit Puchong 1-7, Taman Puchong Prima, Taman Puchong Hartamas. Taman Mutiara Puchong, MARDI, Taman Dato Demang, Nahrim, Astro, Bandar Brooklands, Bandar Mahkota and Bandar Seri Ehsan.
The other areas are Taman Langat Murni, Taman Langat Utama, Taman Mumimas, RTB Bukit Changgang, Taman Arked, Jalan Banting Dengkil di Kampung Olak Lempit, Jalan Banting Dengkil di Kampung Bukit Changgang, Kampung Olak Lempit, Kampung Labohan Dagang, Taman Seri Dagang, Kampung Bukit Changgang, Taman Amber as well as Pusat Sehenti.
