SK Putrajaya Presint 8(1) ordered to close

KUALA LUMPUR: SK Putrajaya Presint 8(1) has been ordered to close for seven days, starting today.

The school management when contacted confirmed the closure.

However, the management declined to divulge details behind the instructions.

Earlier, a picture of a premises closure order (Notis Perintah Tutup Premis) hung on the school's gates went viral on WhatsApp.

According to the notice, the school was closed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

On Oct 1, the Education director-general Datuk Dr Habibah Abdul Rahim was reported to have said that only two classes at the school had been ordered to close for 14 days.

The two classes were for preschoolers and Standard One pupils.
