TAIPING: Perak Museum will be closed following the implementation of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at Taiping Prison and Kamunting Correctional Detention Centre tomorrow.
This is due to the closure of Jalan Tamingsari, from Ranger Mess to the traffic light intersection near Sekolah Kebangsaan Klian Pauh, located near the Taiping Prison.
The Larut Matang and Selama district and land office in a statement on Facebook said EMCO involving Taiping Prison also covers the Prison Quarters at the Perak Museum, Black Barracks, and the Bunga Tanjung Block located next to SK Klian Pauh.
"The road closure also involved several other nearby premises including restaurants, nurseries, and houses of worship," the statement read.
Meanwhile, it is understood a bank along Jalan Chung Thye Phin, here, will closed until further notice.
The closure came about after an employee the bank was found to have a history of close contact with a Covid-19 patient under investigation.
"However, the close contact took place outside the bank area and the temporary closure was a precautionary measure until cleaning and disinfection works have been completed.
In addition, the bank will not be opened until the staff has been tested negative for Covid-19," said a statement pasted on the front door of the bank.
