ISKANDAR PUTERI: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today launched the Johor Sustainable Development Plan 2030, a master reference document for development in Johor covering economic and social aspects.
It was prepared after reviewing and combining the various policies and main development plans at the federal and state levels.
The plan took into account the current development situation, the advantage of Johor's strategic location and the strength of existing economic resources in Johor as well as to encourage the cooperation between the government, the private sector and the community.
The plan will be a guide to the state government leadership, state civil service, the industry, community leaders and other relevant parties in realising the strategic developments more effectively.
Also present at the ceremony, which was held during a break of the State Assembly sitting, were Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad, State Assembly Speaker Suhaizan Kayat and all state assemblymen.
Muhyiddin then presented the plan to state Economic Planning Division director Abdul Halim Hamzah and Johor Baru District Officer Abdul Rahman Salleh, who was representing all district officers in Johor.
