KOTA BARU: The number of flood evacuees in Kelantan stands at 880 as of 7.30pm, the Kelantan Welfare Department's website reported.
It said the victims consisted of 244 families and had been relocated at 25 flood relief centres in four districts.
Pasir Mas recorded the highest number of evacuees at 480, followed by Kuala Krai (221), Tanah Merah (166) and Gua Musang (13).
All of the victims were moved to the relief centres in stages since Wednesday, following continuous heavy rain.
Three rivers in Kelantan were recorded above their danger mark as at 8pm.
The rivers are Sungai Lebir in Manik Urai, Sungai Kelantan in Limau Kasturi and Sungai Golok in Rantau Panjang.
Four other rivers were also measured to be above warning levels.
Meanwhile, floods continued to worsen, inundating low-lying areas and buildings in Pasir Mas and Rantau Panjang.
