KUALA LUMPUR: Those who travelled within administrative districts and were compounded by police can appeal to the respective district health offices to reduce the penalty amount.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said many are still confused over the district borders and complained they were compounded by police when they travelled within the two districts – administrative and police.
He reiterated that the district borders currently being enforced are the administrative districts and not the police districts.
"Those who were compounded for such cases can appeal to the Health Ministry through the respective district health offices. A RM1,000 compound is the maximum penalty and those who got fined can appeal and provide reasons to the (district health) office.
"If the district health office agrees on the reasons given, they can consider lowering the penalty amount," he said during a press conference today.
