KUALA LUMPUR: With Selangor and Kuala Lumpur being placed under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) from March 5, travel between the state and the federal territory will be allowed.
However, those from Selangor and KL are still not allowed to travel to Putrajaya without permission.
Senior Minister (Security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said even though all three localities are placed under one zone, Putrajaya was now under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
He said the restriction is in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to Putrajaya from Selangor and KL.
"Those traveling from Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, both of which are under CMCO, must obtain approval from the police except for those with travel letters from their employers.
"During the first CMCO, Selangor and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya were considered as a single zone.
"However, traveling from Selangor or KL to Putrajaya is still not allowed as the latter is under the RMCO. This is to protect Putrajaya from the spread of Covid-19," he said in a statement today.
Ismail Sabri said traveling between Selangor to KL and vice versa is allowed.
Earlier today, Ismail Sabri announced that the government has decided to lift the MCO on Selangor, KL, Johor and Penang from March 5 and implement the CMCO in these states.
He said Negri Sembilan, Kelantan, Perak, Kedah and Sarawak would remain under CMCO, while Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu, Sabah, Putrajaya and Labuan, currently under CMCO, would fall under the RMCO from March 5.
