KUALA LUMPUR: Six out of the 64 passengers involved in the collision between two Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains near Kampung Baru station, suffered serious injuries and are warded at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who posted the update on his Twitter account earlier today, said three of the six victims needed breathing assistance.
He said 15 other victims were semi-critical while 43 others were not critical.
Anuar in his series of tweets also thanked staff of the HKL Emergency Department who worked tirelessly to treat the injured until 1.38am.
Yesterday, two LRT trains were involved in a collision on the Kelana Jaya LRT line. One of the trains had 213 passengers on-board.
The collision is the first such incident to occur in the 23 years of the rail service.
