JELI: The 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) will look into all factors related to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the recent National Recovery Plan (NRP) as announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economic Affairs) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the 12MP was already 97 per cent complete and would soon be tabled to the Cabinet.
"The 12MP will take into account situation taking place during and after the pandemic, as well as the NRP.
"Once it is completed, it will be presented to the Cabinet," Mustapa told reporters after witnessing the Covid-19 vaccination outreach programme at his office here today.
Also present was Kelantan health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin.
Mustapa was responding to a recent statement by Research for Social Advancement (REFSA) research coordinator, Fakhrurrazi Rashid who suggested that NRP should be part of the 12MP.
Mustapa urged the people to give the government time to ensure the success of the NRP.
He said the current situation had placed a great strain on the country's financial position.
"The country is facing an unprecedented and the worst economic health crisis that we have ever had.
"Therefore, all quarters, as well as the people, must remain patient."
