PUTRAJAYA: The Transport Ministry has extended the moratorium to renew Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM) and Malaysian Driving Licenses (LMM) to Dec 31.
Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said expired road-tax or LKM and LMM will not be subject to enforcement and compliance activities by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and police until end of the year.
"However, holders of LKM expiring within the stipulated period need to ensure their vehicles have valid insurance.
"The insurance e-cover note should be displayed as needed including for inspection purposes.
"The ministry acknowledges the feedback and difficulties faced by many recently when seeking public services such as JPJ and other agencies during the Covid-19," he said.
