Klang Valley to enter Phase 2: No more roadblocks between Selangor, KL, Putrajaya

KUALA LUMPUR: The Klang Valley which covers Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, will move into Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) beginning Friday (Sept 10).

In announcing this, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said all three will be considered as one area, which means movement between Selangor, KL and Putrajaya will be permitted, without any roadblocks.

He said this was decided by the Special Committee on Covid-19 Pandemic Management which convened today.

Among the relaxation to the standard operating procedures (SOP) for people residing in states which have transitioned into Phase Two of the NRP as fixed by the National Security Council (NSC) include inter-district travel for those who have been fully inoculated.

"Long-distance couples who have been fully vaccinated are allowed to travel inter-state.

"Parents who have completed both doses of their vaccination are also allowed to travel inter-state to meet their children who are below 18.

"Dine-ins are also allowed at food premises for customers who have been fully vaccinated.

"Also allowed are tourism activities within the same state which involve accommodations at hotels and homestays for individuals who have been fully inoculated," he said.
