KUALA LUMPUR: Three areas in Cameron Highlands will be among four new locations placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting Monday (Sept 20).
National Security Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad said the three affected localities in Cameron Highlands were Kampung Sungai Kabuk, Kampung Sungai Tiang and Kampung Sungai Chohong.
All three areas are located in Lembah Bertam, in the Ulu Telom subdistrict.
Another EMCO will also be imposed at Kampung Tamu Darat, Kota Belud starting Monday.
The EMCO directive in all four locations will run for two weeks, ending on Oct 3.
He said risk assessment conducted by the Health Ministry and Covid-19 trends were factors for the imposition of the EMCO in these areas.
Rodzi said separate EMCOs in localities in Sabah, Kedah and Perak will end as schedule tomorrow (Sept 19).
These localities are the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) in Sabah; two zones in Kuala Kedah, Kota Setar, Kedah and the Tapah Prison including its quarters in Batang Padang, Perak.
