RANTAU PANJANG: A 16-year-old teenager and a man were detained in possession of 70 pills and four bottles of ketum juice worth RM700 early today.
Members of the General Operations Force (GOF) nabbed the two in a raid at a house in Kampung Gual Sitok, here.
GOF Seventh battalion commanding officer Superintendent Azhari Nusi said the raid was carried out at about 1am following public tip-off on drug activities being held at the premises.
"Upon raiding the house, they found two men hiding in the kitchen. Upon further checks, the GOF members discovered 70 pills and the ketum juice.
"They then arrested the teenager and the 28-year-old man, both locals," he said in a statement.
Azhari said initial investigation showed that the pills, priced at RM10 each, and the 5.75 litres of ketum juice, were meant for local distribution.
"Early investigation also revealed that the two, both positive for drugs, obtained the pills and the ketum juice from a supplier," he added.
He said the suspects were being held at the Pasir Mas police station for further action.
