KUALA LUMPUR: Some one million government pensioners are set to receive a one-off RM350 cash aid under the 2022 Budget.
In tabling the budget today, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said 1.3 million civil servants of Grade 56 and below will receive a special financial aid of RM700.
The government will allocate RM1.3 billion for this purpose.
This, he said, is to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by civil servants in carrying out their duties especially while the country is facing the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
