Several roads in KL still closed

KUALA LUMPUR: Several roads in the nation's capital are still closed to motorists, with traffic being diverted due to floods and cleaning process.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Chief, Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the roads that are still closed are Jalan Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim, Jalan Rahmat, Jalan Sentul Manis, Jalan Pahang Barat and the Smart Tunnel.

He advised motorists to use Jalan Tun Razak to get to the city centre.

"We'd like to advise road users to avoid using or passing through roads involved in diversions and closures and obey the instructions of police officers on duty to ensure that traffic conditions are smooth and under control.

"People who have any queries or information can contact Jalan Tun H.S.Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999 or the Kuala Lumpur JSPT Hotline at 03-20260267/69 or any nearby police station, "he said.
