KUALA LUMPUR: The Smart Highway tunnel has been fully closed to users as a precautionary measure for flood operations following heavy rain in the city since early this morning.
Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd (Smart) announced the closure through a post on X, advising motorists to drive cautiously.
"The tunnel closure was necessary due to the ongoing weather conditions in the city," the post stated.
Smart has urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance and follow traffic rules for safety.
It said the public should contact the helpline at 03-74947333 for assistance.
