XI'AN: The Malaysia Alumni Council of China aims to promote Malaysian higher education through various engagement programmes.
One such programme was held here for council members recently.
Currently, China is a significant contributor of international students to Malaysia.
Some 20,000 students from China have registered and studied in Malaysia.
This directly helps Malaysia in its quest to become a hub of higher education in the Asian region.
Education Malaysia Beijing director of education Abdul Aziz How Abdullah said opportunities, recognition and awards form the basis of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
"The Malaysia China Alumni Association is also expected to continue to enhance commitment, cooperation, and skills."
Education Malaysia Beijing acts as a one-stop center to elevate the country's higher education through educational diplomacy to all interest groups abroad.
