KOTA BARU: Media Prima Bhd (MPB) today handed over RM200,400 cash vouchers to the Kelantan government for the state's flood victims.

MPB chairman Datuk Seri Dr Syed Hussian Aljunid said the donation, under the MPB Disaster Relief Fund, was to aid flood victims in Pasir Mas.

"I would like to thank Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob for accepting our courtesy visit today. At the same time, we handed over the 1,002 cash vouchers to the state government.

"These cash vouchers are for flood victims and each of them will receive RM200.

"MPB and the state government have discussed our next collaboration. We assured the state government of our commitment to delivering genuine news reports.

"We also talked about how MPB's platforms can assist the state government (in delivering information to the people)," he said after handing over the vouchers at Darulnaim Complex here today.

MPB group managing director Rafiq Razali handed over the vouchers to Kelantan Welfare Department director Said Sidup.

Syed Hussian said the first collaboration between MPB and the state government could most likely be in the education field.

"Apart from that, we discuss how our radio station, Molek FM, which was set up early this year, was well-received by many listeners in the East Coast states," he added.
