Najib admitted to HKL, in stable condition [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, currently serving jail time for corruption, was admitted to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for treatment today.

His special officer Muhamad Mukhlis Maghribi said the former PM was admitted at noon today, but did not provide details of the treatment.

"I would like to thank the Prisons department and HKL for the cooperation and help given.

"For now, his condition is stable," Muhamad Mukhlis said when contacted.

The Federal Court recently upheld Najib's conviction and 12-year jail sentence and RM210 million fine.

He was found guilty of misappropriating RM42 million of SRC International funds.
